| Cat and Sock are a production crew who (due only to their physical limitations) employ studio teams to help put together their recordings. They are on a mission to explore strange sonic worlds, to seek out new soundscapes, to boldly go where no feline or hosiery has gone before. Fans have been waiting in eager anticipation for the next step on their amazing musical journey. In the long wait since their previous releases, rumours have been circulating of Sock's untimely demise. However, although he did go missing for several months, he was eventually found down the back of the washing machine, despite media reports of his being kidnapped by the evil Persil consortium. In the meantime Cat was offered a lucrative sponsorship deal from Whiskas pet food company, but turned it down saying, "My music is my art! It's not for sale to the highest bidder - besides I prefer Chef". In the past Cat and Sock have been no strangers to controversy with gossip magazines continually reporting on affairs between Sock and various female companions, the latest being Janice from the muppets. As for Cat, he still denies the whole "Tweety Bird" incident but will admit that his interest in Minnie Mouse was perhaps partly culinary. Striking back at the nay-sayers, cat and sock are releasing their new CD, simply titled "cat and sock". Within are layers of electronic textures fighting it out with dodgy samples from cheesy sci-fi films and various other disreputable sources.
