Let The Seasons
Fall'' is the new C.D Album by
Mark
Airlie and has 7 songs on it covering themes of the past ,-
present and future. It is being released now by
Powertool
Records Auckland and is Marks 3rd C.D project to go through
the label to date. Mark a : ''Solo Singer / Songwriter/ Musician lives
in Wellington where he recorded
''Let
The Seasons Fall'' playing all the Drum Tracks / Guitar Tracks
/ Bass Guitar Tracks/ and Vocal Tracks with Top Recording Engineer
Geoff
Duncan''of
Gherkin Productions'' in March this year
2006.
Geoff recorded it in 2 ,- 8hr days,- and mixed it a week or two
later. The Album covers themes both real and surreal (sometimes at the
same time in a song) and deals with observations of spirituality and
human grief and at times tragedy. There are a couple of very special
songs he wrote for people he is very fond of , including the track:
''Song for Lynn'' which deals with the Tragedy of Lynn ( a close
friend of Airlie's) unfortunately being struck with ''Motor Neuron Disease''
. The Song is a Testimony of Lynn's brilliance as an Artist in the painting
genre,-as well as his fantastic ability as a Singer/ Musician / Song
writer. Lynn is an old friend of Mark's dating as far back as ''the
HighSchool Days'' in Taranaki........... Lynn is also a Label mate of
Marks on
Powertool Records. On this
amazing album , Airlie pulls no punches with grief and sorrow in places
also his raw spiritual respect to ''A Universal Law'' is not hidden.
There are moments of elation here and there with dense Bass Guitar riffs,-
emtional Guitar and rock steady drumming. If you are a ''newcomer''
to the ''Airlie Sound'' then this superb album
''Let
The Seasons Fall'' is a Great Testimony to his Soulful Undergound
Sound. Also check out his past works :
''Marbled''
and
''Peril Not A Pearl'' available
through
Powertool Records.
