Something new, something borrowed, "Malcontent's Malarkey" (PT059) is a collection of sweet low-tech recordings, original and covers from Mallory Gawn, aka Malcontent, in Auckland over the last few years from home and live performances.
Mal recorded this album with help from local talent Karen Yates and Andrew Maitai and well as Canadian guest Manny Viera. Mal'sd a kiwi traveller who's spent most time overseas where he was obviously influenced by North American folk blues, and now in West Auckland working with Powertool Records where his future work will be even better.
