TONY VALENS & THE INCISIONS - S/T After a number of limited run CDRs this was the first instalment of Nick Harte's in-the-red biker-surf-rockabilly noise, as performed by the first line up of his Christchurch power trio......Blue Cheer, Link Wray, Guitar Wolf, Dick Dale, MC5, Stooges, Davie Allan & the Arrows, all inspirations in the searingly loud instrumental havoc wrought on the 19 tracks...has tape been able to withstand such volume you will ask...Nick went on a more art-punk bend when he later broke up the Incisons, briefly joined the Brunettes as their drummer, then re-invented himself as the main protagonist in the Shocking Pinks, upon whose sole Flying Nun release to date you can still hear remnants of the noise-fest begun in the Incisions and other early Nick Harte noise-nik combos....
